Located in nearby Camden at 1 Riverside Drive, Adventure Aquarium is a family-friendly attraction where you can meet dozens of animals, including penguins, sharks, octopuses, and amphibians. Exhibits include a 3-D theater and KidZone, an interactive area designed for children ages 6 and younger. Check online for show and feed times to get a special look at the many animals on display at Adventure Aquarium.

Daily tickets cost $29.99 for ages 13 and up and $21.99 for ages 2 to 12. This price includes admission to the 3-D theater, Shark Bridge, and daily live shows. You can also purchase an Adventure Meal Deal. This adds about $5 to the price of admission and comes with a combo meal from one of the aquarium’s restaurants.

The Funplex

The Funplex is an amusement park with two locations in New Jersey, one in Mount Laurel and one in East Hanover. The Mount Laurel location features indoor and outdoor attractions, including a seasonal water park. If the weather is too cold or you don’t feel like getting wet, head inside for bowling, arcade games, laser tag, and more. This is another family-friendly spot that will keep you entertained for hours.

You have a few payment options for admission, including wristbands that provide unlimited access to rides and attractions and a Pay As You Go system where you pay for tickets for all the rides you want to try. Wristbands cost $30 during the week and $34 on weekends and holidays. You can visit after 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday for a discount. Seasonal specials, late-night discounts, and early-bird Sunday offers are also available.

The Funplex is one of the most popular attractions in town, and finding a hotel nearby will make it easy for you to beat the crowds and arrive first thing in the morning. Moreover, since The Funplex is located off Interstate 295, booking a hotel in this area will make it easy for you to explore outdoor adventures in Cherry Hill to the west and Wharton State Forest to the southeast.

Laurel Acres Park

For totally free family fun away from crowds, go to Laurel Acres Park to enjoy peace and quiet outdoors. The park includes a dog-walking area, public baseball and soccer fields, a fishing area, walking trails, and a playground. In the winter, Laurel Acres Park becomes a popular area for sledding and seasonal outdoor fun. Find the park off South Church Street, and pack a lunch to enjoy under the covered picnic area.
